2011 ING NYC Marathon

On November 6, 2011, the Daniel P. Ryan Foundation will once again be represented in the New York City Marathon, in remembrance of Danny and to raise money for families affected by cancer. This year, Danny's brother Ken, and friend John Scalabrini will set off to conquer 26.2 miles through the streets of New York.

Donations can be made through the website.   Any donation over $25 will receive a long sleeve DPRF marathon shirt. You can follow Kenny and John on Marathon Sunday on Twitter @dprf_org.  Thank you again for your continued support.

The Daniel P. Ryan Foundation is supporting a fundraiser on Saturday, October 22, 2011 at Wall Raceway Stadium honoring Mackenzie Wozniak.  The name of this benefit is "We Back Mack."  A portion of the proceeds from this event will go directly to the Wozniak Family.

Mackenzie was diagnosed with Choriocarcinoma cancer on August 2, 2011. Choriocarcinoma is an extremely rare form of cancer related to pregnancy that grows from the cells of the placenta.   Mackenzie's husband, Chris, is a Sergeant in the State Police, Marine Services Bureau, and they have two young boys.   The gates will open at 1pm kicking off with a band, pumpkin painting, bounce house, face painting and sky divers.  The racing will begin at 3pm.   If anyone is interested in purchasing tickets for this event, please contact Wall Stadium at (732) 681-6400.  If you are unable to attend this fundraiser and would like to make a donation directly to the family, please contact Rich Caputo (908) 907-3277.  All the donations received will go directly to the family to help pay medical & household expenses.
